Bargaining Update

Renfrew – May 18th, 2021

At the Local 449 Demand Set Special Meeting on April 27th, 2021, members voted to submit not only their local demands to the regional bargaining conference, but also elected delegates and alternates to attend to represent their interests at the bargaining table.

The two-step election process to elect the 2021 OPS Unified bargaining teams began on Saturday, May 15, 2021 via a virtual platform.

We are proud to announce that President Samantha Kelly was elected as an alternate for representing Region 4’s Institutional and Health Care (IHC) category, and that Vice President Liam Vanderbraak was elected to the OPS Unified Essential and Emergency Services (EES) Bargaining Team as one of two Region 4 Bargaining Team Members. A thank you to member Melissa Morrison who attended the conference as an IHC alternate.
